Born in Montana in 1948, Guy Loomis’ roots go back to the early day settlement of that state. His great granddad fought in the Battle of the Big Hole and both his granddads were cowboys. He grew up on Charlie Russell art and stories of relatives who knew Charlie. He paints scenes from the western United States, specializing in wildlife and images of the Teton Mountains and southwestern landscapes. His goal is to capture an emotional moment in time with his paintings.
