What’s the summer buzz?

Here is a short list of events you don’t want to miss this summer at Teton Arts!

1.Free Family Workshops!

Bring out your family for an art project and a potluck dinner! Art is on us tonight, all you have to do is put your creativity caps and bring the gang on down to our studio space! Painting, clay, collaging, and more are on the docket. Bringing some food to share is a great way to ensure it’ll be a great party. No two nights will be the same!

Where: Teton Arts Council Studios

When: Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the months June, July, and August 5-7pm

2. Kids Wheel Throwing Class

Every Tuesday afternoon we are inviting kids ages 7+ into the ceramics studio to learn how to throw clay on the pottery wheels! A fun challenge for even the most coordinated of child masterminds, wheel throwing is a great way to get everybody’s creative juices flowing.  Let your kids get their hands in the mud and maybe add some handmade pottery to the kitchen cabinets!

When: Every Tuesday from 3:30-5:30 pm

Where: Teton Arts Council Studios.

3.Adult Intro to Clay Miniseries

If you’re curious about ceramics but don’t know where to start? Well look no further! We are hosting two-night sessions for adults who would like to try their hand at pottery making. Many people don’t have the time to commit to a 6-week class, but would really like to get active in the community studio somehow. All you need to bring is yourself, an open mind, and maybe a friend!

Where: Teton Arts Council Studios.

When: Session One will be July 16th & 17th,  Session Two will be on August 6th & 7th

4.Souper Bowl Creation Sessions

Show off your bowl-making skills and donate your time to Teton Arts by throwing bowls for our annual Souper Bowl Fundraiser! Local artists will be doing demonstrations on their favorite bowl-themed techniques as inspiration. We provide clay and entertainment for all people interested in bringing their style to the Souper Bowl table! If you share a love for clay, have some experience building, and are looking for a way to fill up on good karma then you should join us every 1st and 3rd Wednesday this summer.

Where: Teton Arts Council Studios.

When: Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the months June, July, and August. Demos                                  @ 7pm!

New face alert! “Who is that, who could it be?”

Hello! My name is Charlotte, I’m a new face around the Teton Arts Center and I am so excited to be here! I come from yonder Midwest, a beautiful place where the lakes are superior but the hills are very small. I am stoked to be here in the mountains to live, play and be inspired. This summer there are going to be a lot of things going on at Teton Arts and I would be overjoyed to share some of the details with you! I hope to meet all of the best characters in Teton Valley through our variety of Adult, Family, and kids workshops.
